Southwest Shade Sails, and its affiliates all share the common vision of quality, and a commitment to excellence on every job, for every customer!
WE'RE THE BEST Don't believe our claim? Well then, please, allow us to showcase all of the "fine" examples of our competition.
We will point out what NOT to look for in Sun Shade Sail quality, design, and installation. Check out some of our COMPETITORS WORK!
Poor Material Quality This material obviously could not withstand the high tension and stress that sail material must endure to provide years of enjoyment. Wind is a main factor involved with material durability. This material will continue to rip, and then, this lucky owner gets to purchase another sail.
Excess Cable This is caused by poor measuring, an inexperienced installer, or just plain- old laziness.
Failed Corner Improper measuring and faulty, poorly constructed Materials
Droopy/Sagging Sail A shade sail with no tension eventually begins to droop. Of course, over time, a shade sail can lose some tension, but not like this. THis shade sail is under two years old, and is all ready showing signs of fatigue, improper installation, poor craftsmanship.
Leaning Posts One of the key elements to hanging, supporting, or "flying" anything architectural, is a STABLE FOUNDATION. This is just simple physics here. If your post is not set properly during the initial installation, you are wasting your time and money. Sagging will happen immediately.
Cheap Hardware Quite an impressive display of how much energy and stress must be absorbed by the mounting hardware for a Shade Sail. This mounting technique has proved to be unable to withstand the sudden and powerful windstorms that happen rather frequently in Arizona. This truly exemplifys "You get what you pay for."
Wrinkled Fabric This is due to poor initial designing, and amplified by an inexperienced installation. A rather simple design, can turn into a sophisticated installation. Proper planning, accurate measuring, and a "game plan" for clean and tidy installation is a must when healing with more complicated shade structures.
Wrong Webbing The cabling has just completely ripped through the material on this shade sail. Someone has installed this shade sail with the incorrect webbing.
Please Note: There are several companies around the valley that offer shade sails for residential and commercial. In fact, if you visit their websites you will see some very impressive photos of their jobs. Most companies take pictures for their portfolios or websites the day they are installed. The pictures above show just what can happen after a few years, even a few months after the installation pictures have been taken. Southwest Shade Sails Inc has one goal in mind, don’t end up on some one else’s website as a casualty. We can’t help but wonder how many of these jobs made their decision on saving a couple hundred dollars?
We have spoken with clients of these companies. One told me that after 6 months his sails started to sag and flop in the wind. Good news, it was still under warranty. Bad news, it took two months before the company came back out and installed the sail. What’s that? Oh, the two months he went without the sails: July and August.
Another client told us that their sails start to sag and flop up and down on windy days. A guest of their home would ask if the sails are suppose to sag like that. Good news: the sails were less than a year old and still under warranty. Bad news it took over 3 months to even get a return call from the installing company.
No one has ever been happy calling in their warranty.
